| OVERVIEW In May, 2010, four people from Brant Hills attended a "Stewards By Design" seminar led by Dr. Kennon Callahan, an internationally respected pastor, theologian, researcher, and teacher. Dr. Callahan has worked with thousands of congregations of all sizes for nearly forty years and has provided many congregations with new and energizing ways to look at mission and stewardship issues. Dr. Callahan emphasizes that human beings were designed by our Creator to be STEWARDS (i.e., caretakers) OF CREATION. As children of God, created in God's image, we are, by our very nature, "stewards by design." The Stewards By Design philosophy and teaching encourages congregations to: Participate generously in the mission to which God calls us Become "mission-driven" Move towards faithful, nurturing, and abundant living Discover and apply the twelve keys to an effective church as outlined by Dr. Callahan On October 16, 2010, Brant Hills selected four "keys" for growing and improving, and at this time four teams are active. More news will provided as it becomes available. |
